Period/Pregnant?

How is it that if you’re on your period that you can still be pregnant. I grew up with the knowledge that if you get your cycle then you’re not pregnant? can you be pregnant and still have your period?

    No ma’am, you cannot. Here’s the rationale:

    Your period happens when the lining of your uterus is being stripped away, resulting in blood. Your uterus lining stripps away when an egg has not been fertilized. When you’re pregnant, it means that an egg was fertilized, therefore, your uterus lining does not strip because it is getting ready to host a child in it.

    That’s sort of a simple version of it, but yep, that’s why. :)

    oh wow. uhm,jeez,all i know is that you know you’re pregnant when you skip a month of ovulation and you get all those weird sucky symptoms. but idk,that might happen,really weird actually.

    If the sperm meets up with the egg while it is still pretty far up in the fallopian tube, It has not implanted yet. You can get your period, and afterwards it will implant.

    yes it can happen if you don’t want any UN wanted pregnancy’s then i would go on birth control and always wear a condom
